Hi Leute

Ich habe Ubuntu Linux installiert.Ich habe auf meinem Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M-6500 ein Problem. Ich habe nämlich nur in der Mitte des Bildschirm ein kleines Bild, etwa so:

Was meint ihr ist da das Problem? Muss ich noch Treiber für meine Grafikkarte (Silicon Motion SM720 Lynx3DM) installieren? Von wo bekomme ich die? Oder was könnte sonst das Problem sein? Hat jemand von euch beim Amilo m-6500 auch Linux drauf?

aber ich vermute mal,
daß es daran liegt daß dein Linux das Bild nicht verzerren will
(z.b. 640*480 hoch auf 1024*786)

muß irgendwas an den grafikeinstellungen oder monitoreinstellungen liegen



Wo du das umstellst oder wo du die Treiber herbekommst kann ich dir nicht sagen..
Du könntets ja mal von einer Knoppix CD booten und dann testen
ob es da genauso oder richtig aussieht

Danke für die Antworten. Ich habe schon eine auflösung von 1042x768 in die xorg.conf eingetragen. Aber wenn ich dann Neu gestartet habe, war wieder die alte Auflösung eingestellt. Aber keine Ahnung wieso. Hat sonst noch jemand eine Idee, was es sein könnte?

Was für eine Grafikkarte hast du?
(Bei den Radeons erkennt Ubuntu alles automatisch richtig.)

Kannst du mal den Inhalt der Datei /etc/X11/xorg.conf posten?
Ubuntu nutzt X.org, Silicon Motion bietet leider nur Unterstützung für XFree86 ( ftp://ftp.siliconmotion.com.tw/Lynx3DM_ ... _1.2.2.zip ).
Klicke dich mal durch den Thread http://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu ... 31389.html , vielleicht findest du dort noch was nützliches.

Juhu, jetzt habe ich es geschafft. Ich habe reconfigure mit ein paar verschiedenen Optionen versucht, und plötzlich ist es gegangen.
