Graphics card from Xi 2428 in the Xi 1526?

Beitragvon DK AMILO » 05.09.2007 22:10

HI,

Sorry for going english, but I need to ask the best in the AMILO world and thats you guys, so here I go:

I have the AMILO Xi 1526 with the following graphics card:

nVidia® GeForce® 7600 Go
with 256MB DDR2 dedicated Video RAM
and MXM-II technology
High performance ultra-threaded 3D graphics engine
Advanced Shader Model 3.0 Support
(for realistic mobile gaming)
Pure VideoTM Video Engine
(for superior quality pictures and videos)
nVidia® PowerMizer® 6.0 for extended battery life

Now I just found this AMILO Xi 2428 with this graphics card:

NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GS
with 256MB DDR2 dedicated video RAM and up to 767MB
TurboCache1 (HDMI and VGA interface)
(Benchmark: 3D Mark 2006: up to 2200 points)
MXM-II technology:
High performance ultra-threaded 3D graphics engine;
Advanced Shader Model 3.0 support, for realistic mobile
gaming;
Pure VideoTM Video Engine, for superior quality pictures
and videos;
NVIDIA® PowerMizer® 6.0 for extended battery life

Now, can I just change my old GeForce 7600 GO graphics card in my Xi 1526 for the new GeForce 8600M GS from the Xi 2428? Will the new card fit ind my old AMILO and work??
If this is possible, where can I get hold on the new card???

Thanks in advance :wink:
