Amilo A6600 (A2000) BIOS... Problems with the floppy drive!!

Beitragvon Alsark » 23.05.2005 21:01

Dear all!
Please help me to solve my problem! I get really fu..ed with it!!!
Sorry for English, I don't know German and I just found this forum from Google.
I have AMILO A2000 notebook (A6600???). It had BIOS version 1.07 and I upgraded it to a new version 1.10, which I downloaded from the FSC official site (Phoenix BIOS ver. 1.10 for Amilo A6600 and A7600). After BIOS upgrade I lost my Floppy Drive A:. I tried to format PC - this doesn't help... then I have disassembled the notebook, took out the floppy and checked the floppy bus...everything was OK... then I put it back - no result again! I removed my floppy drive and connected another floppy drive - again I don't have floppy drive in my system and BIOS.
I don't know, what else to try... I beleive, the problem is in BIOS, which somehow "blocked" my floppy drive controller. I don't know is it a BIOS bug, or whatever... or I downloaded a wrong BIOS version which doesn't support floppy drive??? Anyway, if possible, please send me a "correct" BIOS version for my notebook. Please, help me with this problem!!!
Many thanks beforehand!
P.S. Please, send your answers in English
