If you want to get a service manual you have to become servicepartner of FSC. Sorry, but there is no other official way to get one.

Thx, will try explain problem

It all started with screen got broken. Lappy was then 6 months old, I contacted Fujitsu here in Norway, but they told me to go to the dealer. I did that, but they told me it would cost me atleast 1000 euro to get it fixed.

I then for a while used it with extern monitor, all ok. Then I bought an complete top on ebay from a Amilo D 7820, someone told me it might match, it was cheap.
Waiting for that screen to arrive I removed the top and unplugged the connectors to find partnr of the org. screen. Started the lappy, but extern screen wouldnt work. Aha I thought, and put back the org screen, and started again. The extern monitor still not working, have tried it all still dead. New screen arrived , mounted it, and the screen went on but only with a pic like an cloudy sky. Now I wonder why extern monitor went out, and new replacement screen dont match. :) Thats the story so far, and it most likely ends there :)

regards
Arne

First of all I'll tell you the difference between the 8820 and the 7820:
The 7820 has a max. resolution of 1024x768 e.g. XGA and the 8820 has a max. resolution of 1400x1050 e.g. SXGA+.

Have you tried to reactivate your external display using FN+F4 like 1101011 told you above?

For activating your new display it might be necessary to use the tool emergency.exe as explained in the following thread (middle of the page):

lhtopic,1505,0,asc,emergency+exe,15.html

I'll send you this tool in a few minutes.
