Hi!

I'm trying to install SuSE 8.2 at my F/S Amilo M1425 and I can't enter to KDE because linux doesn't recognize my video card, I can only enter by text mode.

What can I do?

also, I had to install SuSE with text mode, because by screen was totally black with some weird squares with 640*480, 800*600 and the other resolution (1024*768?) video modes

Or simply use a newer version of SuSE, 9.0+

Use SuSE 9.0 or higher. In 8.2 only textmode will work during installation, because it doesn't support the graphics card. I recommend SUSE 9.3, it has many improvements for notebooks and can be downloaded for free.
