Hi. And how it goes? Does HP 8530p ATI Radeon 3650 work in Amilo PI 1556 without a problem?

EDIT: I'm asking cause I want to replace broken graphic card in Compal FL90 - WWW notebookcheck NET/Review-Compal-FL90-Notebook.4209.0.html with a HP 8530p ATI Radeon 3650 (109-B37631-00F).

My projection is that the 3650 from the HP 8530p will NOT work, as it doesn't have a VGA-BIOS rom chip on the PCB, see for yourself. The solder pad in the
upper left corner is empty (the white square with the bottom-left corner cut off):


The Compal FL90 needs one with a chip, iirc, one like this (the green rom):



You can, however, solder a chip with the right Bios onto it yourself, and it will work.
I had one (rather had it soldered on by a friend ) working in the PI1556 with the Acer 3650 Bios chip onto a romless Mobility Fire GL 5700 (basically the same card) a few years back, and the laptop is still working great at my uncle's home.
