amilo pa1510 mit ubuntu 11.04 funktionert nicht

Hallo zusammen,

ich hab ein amilo pa1510 mit WIndows 7 und ubuntu 11.04 als Betriebssysteme.
Ich würde gern komplett auf ubuntu umsteigen, aber ich bekomm das wlan nicht zum laufen.
Alles funktioniert nach der ubuntu installation wunderbar, das Netzwerk wird per Kabel ohne probleme erkannt und er verbindet sich auch gleich.
Wenn ich das Kabel abziehe funktionert kein Wlan. Ich hab bei den Nerzwerkeinstellungen mein Heimnetz eingetragen, aber sucht nicht mal nach Funknetzwerken.
Kann mir vielleicht jemand sagen wie ich das endlich zum laufen bringe.
Bin bald am verzweifeln.

hallo hikaru

hab das mal von den beiden threads probiert. aber irgendwie haut das alles nicht hin. hab mir auch die backport.modules für den aktuellen kernel installiert, aber es klappt einfach nicht das wlan aktivieren.

Was sagt denn dmesg und iwconfig?
lspci -k wäre auch interessant.

Wahrscheinlich hast du die nötige firmware noch nicht installiert, versuch einmal

Hallo mewtwo,

hab jetzt den b43-fwcutter installiert, aber irgendwie tut sich immer noch nix.
Wenn ich im Terminal iwconfig eingebe, schreibt er immer noch "no wireless extension"
Hast du noch ne idee was ich machen könnte?

Hast du den Rechner mal neu gestartet?
Was steht in dmesg?

So jetzt geht es endlich.
Hab nach einer Anleitung von diesem Link http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Dri ... cefirmware die benötigten Daten runtergeladen und noch mal manuell übers Terminal installiert. Und siehe da, es funktioniert endlich.
