Cracked Casing on Amilo M - Please help.

Beitragvon will83 » 24.01.2006 21:06

Hello,

I am sorry - (I do not speak German).

I bought an Amilo M almost a year ago and have recently noticed cracks apearing on my casing just near the corners of the keyboard.

The cracks seem to be getting worse and are actually spreading into the silver plastic.

I use my laptop a desktop pc and has barely been moved from my desk.

I have a 2 year Fujitsu Siemens warranty and I have called them and they have said that because they are unaware of it being a known fault then I can not claim.

Please please please if anyone has experienced these cracks appearing or even know of anyone who has had them too, can you let me know as it would back me up in my fight to get my laptop fixed!!

Thanks for an response.

Hello,

we have lots of users telling of this problem.

Here in germany FSC exchanges the top-cover free of charge during the warranty.

Here you've got the long thread, but it's completely in german. Perhaps you can use some kind of translating-tool.
